To address this, ITEL is working towards building an
indigenous cybersecurity ecosystem by bringing together
academia, industry, experts, institutions, and governments
to create an all-encompassing approach that improves
capabilities, reduces vulnerabilities, and strengthens
India's cybersecurity infrastructure.
At the core of this vision is the Indian Cybersecurity
Academic Network (ICAN) – a forum that consists of
scientists, researchers, and experts at leading academic
institutions. ICAN works on bringing together industry and
government to fortify India's cybersecurity infrastructure
Through ICAN, we are building an ecosystem focused on three
key areas - Faculty Training Program, where faculty from
tier-2 engineering colleges are trained to inspire and
nurture the next generation of cybersecurity
professionals,Industry-Academia Collaboration to identify
real-world challenges and develop Indian-designed solutions,
and Government Partnerships, for policy reforms, customised
training programs, and guiding start-ups to design
innovative security frameworks.
Our goal is to expand India's talent pool, strengthen
research, nurture innovation, support SMEs, and shape policy
reforms. Through ICAN, we are laying the foundation for a
secure and resilient digital future for our nation.
